Health guarantee
All puppies purchased through Beedoxy Mini Dachshund Kennel are covered by a 30-day health guarantee provided by the breeder. Because animal health laws vary by state, we encourage all buyers to review the regulations that apply in their state of residence.
Initial Veterinary Examination (10 Days)
Within 10 days of receiving your puppy, you must take him or her to a licensed veterinarian for a full health examination.
If, within this 10-day period, a licensed veterinarian determines that your puppy is:
- Clinically ill, or
- Has passed away due to an illness or injury likely contracted prior to purchase and delivery
You will have the following options:
• Return the puppy for a full refund
• Return the puppy for a replacement puppy of equal value
• Keep the puppy and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses, not exceeding the purchase price
These options do not apply if the breeder disclosed the health condition in writing at the time of sale and provided a veterinary health certificate.
Congenital & Genetic Health Guarantee (30 Days)
If, within 30 days of purchase, a licensed veterinarian determines that your puppy has a congenital or hereditary condition that negatively affects the puppy’s health, or if the puppy passes away due to a genetic condition, you will be offered the same options listed above.
Notification Requirements
You must notify the breeder within 2 business days of receiving the veterinarian’s diagnosis.
This notification must include the veterinarian’s:
- Name
- Address
- Phone number
Failure to provide this information within the required time frame may result in forfeiture of your rights under this guarantee.
State Laws
Each U.S. state has different regulations regarding pet sales and health guarantees.
If your state provides a health guarantee longer than 30 days, state law takes precedence.
Breeders advertising through our website are required to provide at least the minimum health protection required by law.
Extended Genetic Health Guarantee (When Offered)
Some breeders may offer extended genetic health warranties. These guarantees apply specifically to conditions proven to be genetic through proper veterinary testing and documentation.
Extended guarantees:
- Cover illnesses proven to be genetic in origin.
- Do not cover routine veterinary care or general health maintenance.
- Require proper veterinary documentation before any reimbursement.
- Do not cover injuries caused by accidents or owner negligence.
